Joyce a dedicated and compassionate Counsellor with a wealth of experience. Joyce invites you to embark on a transformative journey where the healing process is imbued with the richness of diverse cultural perspectives. Joyce holds in high regard the African heritage and believes in its profound influence on one’s mental health, especially for those on a challenging migration journey. Migrating, whether as a newcomer or an established member of the diaspora, is a complex journey marked by unique mental health challenges. The intersect of adapting to a new environment, grasping with cultural shift, and bearing the burden of past and present experiences can be trying.
In Joyce’s care, you’ll find a supportive companion ready to walk beside you on your path to well-being. Employing a variety of approaches customised to each individual, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive behavioural Therapy, Emotional Focused Therapy and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) you will embark on a healing journey that is firmly grounded in your cultural context celebrating your heritage at every turn. She is committed to establishing a nurturing, culturally safe space where individuals can thrive at their own pace. Mercy possesses a rich array of modalities, personalised with a strength-based person-centred approach to cater to the unique needs of each individual whilst working towards a positive and healthy wellness outcome. Mercy’s professional journey encompasses extensive experience across a variety of sectors including the not- for- profit, where she has had the pleasure of working with people from diverse backgrounds including migrant and refugee communities.
Her expertise extends to , Anxiety and Depression, Trauma counselling, Loss and grief counselling, Cultural identity Spiritual and Christian counselling.
